XFA 2 Weigh-In Results
May 30, 2008

The contestants for the May 31st fight card at Cox Pavilion weighed in with some controversy and one last minute fighter stepping up with only one day's notice!

Bout 1: David Smith vs. Marcelino Menchaca
Both men weighed in at a fight ready 144 pounds.

Bout 2: Lynn Alvarez vs. Catia Vitoria
Alvarez steps in to replace Jamie Lynn Welsh with only one day's notice, coming in at 124 pounds. Welsh had to bow out of the bout after sustaining an injury Thursday while preparing for the fight. Vitoria weighed in at 121 pounds.

Bout 3: Travis Garlits vs. Kevin Ross
Travis Garlits weighed in at 143 pounds, 3 pounds over his contract weight, returning after an hour to weigh in again (as permitted by Athletic Commission Regulations), at 141 pounds. Kevin Ross was 139 pounds.

Bout 4: Jodie Esquibel vs. Amy Davis
Both ladies were lean and ready at 108 pounds.

Bout 5: Douglas Edwards vs. Jack Thames
Edwards and Thames were both 160 pounds.

Bout 6: Mark Holst vs. Mark Beecher
Weight was 154 pounds for both fighters.

Bout 7: Josh Hancock vs. Shawn Yarborough
Hancock came off the scale at 173 pounds and Yarborough was 174 pounds.

Bout 8: Sally Krumdiak vs. Miriam Nakamoto
Krumdiak weighed 126 pounds, however Nakamoto was 130 pounds, 3 pounds over her contract weight. Given an hour to cut the weight, Nakamoto returned to the scales still coming in at 130 pounds, disrobing to come in at her official weight of 129 pounds, still over her contract weight. Fortunately the bout was saved after successful contract renegotiations with both fighters.

Main Event: Vernon White vs. Anthony Brown
White was 185 pounds and Brown came in at 184 pounds. After a brief stare down they both smiled, shook hands and wished each other the best. Both fighters have openly claimed that they will knock out their opponent on fight night.
